This article deals with public policy because it shows how both Colorado and Washington are implementing the legalization of Marijuana. The article deals specifically with domestic public policy because it is dealing with Washington and Colorado. The article shows are different states, even though they both decriminalized marijuana, go about the implementation differently. Washington's rules are more restrictive while Colorado has been accepting licenses without a cap. Even at a local level, there are still gigots about regulations.

There is a bill before Congress that would raise the minimum wage to $10.10. I do not believe that this raise will help ease poverty because when wages go up prices go up, so I do not believe that this bill will make a difference.

In this article the Supreme Court upheld Michigan's ban on racial affirmative action and is letting voter decide. I believe that racial affirmative action is unfair because race shouldn't be e determining factor on who gets into college. It is unconstitutional that people are discriminated against because they do not fall under an "under privileged race".

http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/11/opinion/cohen-campaign-financing/This article talks about how much money PAC's are currently spending in this year's midterm elections. The problem with this is that American voters feel as if their votes don't count and that the "political process" is being controlled by whoever has the most money. American's are starting to lose confidence in their country because money seems to control most things in politics and the people don't. America is supposed to be a government by the people for the people.
http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/mccutcheon-v-federal-election-commission/"Because aggregate limits restricting how much money a donor may contribute to candidates for federal office, political parties, and political action committees do not further the government’s interest in preventing quid pro quo corruption or the appearance of such corruption, while at the same time seriously restricting participation in the democratic process, they are invalid under the First Amendment."

I don't understand why congress cannot put aside their differences when the well being of country is at stake. Regardless of politlcal parties and people's political ideologies, the people in congress should be able to agree with one another when we have to shut down the government. I think when it gets that bad, the unnecessary bickering needs to stop.
